Grant's Family

Grant is the son of former ACC basketball player James Mason and his wife, Yolonda Mason, an educator, entrepreneur and consultant.  Grant was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina in a loving home and family of three siblings. 

Grant has been raised with biblical principals and values that are rooted in faith, hope, and love.  In addition, he is raised to value responsibility, work ethics, and a growth mindset.

Grant's upbringing has laid the  foundation for him to take on the responsibility and challenge of living his life to fulfill his God-given potential.  He understands that the greatest competition is within himself, and he is encouraged to be the best Grant Mason he can be.

At the age of 10, Grant began his entrepreneur experience by starting a trash can removal service in his neighborhood, which is a weekly service were he puts homeowner's trash cans out on the curb the day before trash cans are emptied, and then puts the trash cans back after being emptied.

This experience has provided Grant opportunity to learn to values of service, humility, responsibility, dependability, work ethics, and communication.

In addition, Grant regularly volunteers in the children ministry at church and willingly helps others.  He has a server's heart.
